And Her Nose Stuck in a Book

Me...Jane

Me...Jane - Patrick McDonnell This book actually brought out the feels a bit.

Hilda and the Midnight Giant

Hilda and the Midnight Giant - Luke Pearson This was absolutely magical.

The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!

The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog! - Mo Willems Once again, Pigeon (and Mo Willems) makes me laugh. I LOVE Pigeon's attitude - and then his ultimate change of heart. This book is so much fun to read with my daughter.

Lately Lily: The Adventures of a Travelling Girl

Lately Lily: The Adventures of a Travelling Girl - Micah Player The illustrations are gorgeous, and the story is perfect for my daughter to bring with her on our summer vacation. Can't wait for more from Lily!

The Midnight Library

The Midnight Library - Kazuno Kohara This book made me so happy. Pure magic!

A Piece of Cake

A Piece of Cake - LeUyen Pham I had no idea where this story was going to go when my daughter and I started it - but the ending was so clever. And of course LeUyen Pham's illustrations are gorgeous.

Walt Disney's Peter Pan

Walt Disney's Peter Pan - Dave Barry, Ridley Pearson, Mary Blair Mary Blair's illustrations make this version of Peter Pan well worth reading! Love it.

Wedding Night

Wedding Night - Sophie Kinsella It was light and fluffy and ridiculous and exactly what I was in the mood for this weekend.

The Assassin's Blade

The Assassin's Blade - Sarah J. Maas These five novellas changed my opinion of novellas altogether - most of the time they're not needed, but these are not only much needed to understand Celaena's life, they're ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. And even though I knew how the last one would end - dreading it, even (SAM CORTLAND), it brought on the feels way more than I could have imagined. With these novellas, the TOG series is the best high fantasy series out there, and I CANNOT WAIT for the third book.
